About the Author From The Author

I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. A border city with not only a rich culture but a place where the imagination is given every tool imaginable to thrive.

I have constantly been immersed in folklore from both America and Mexico, with a rich blend of Native American storytelling to boot. As a little girl, my greatest escapes were thrift shopping for books with my grandmother and holing up to read my treasure. It was in books like The Secrets of Nimh and Julie of the Wolves where I found comfort in being just a little different from the other kids.

As I grew older, reading books could only hold me over so much, and I began to write. Notebooks of poems, song lyrics, and short stories practically filled themselves if they were within arm’s length. Of course, life has a way of stifling the thing that you love most as a child and forces you to grow up.

Fortunately for me, I was given a second and third chance to be kid again when I had children of my own. Now that I am back into writing and giving life to the stories that bring me joy, I hope to share them with the world and never stop.

A dark urban fantasy novel

In this novel you will meet a family of dreamwalkers, called dromvisas, who have the ability to shapeshift and control dreams and the daydreams. Told from a dual perspective you get the story from both the mother and daughter of this family.

Liv is a single mom, raising Revna and Falka, aka Falks. She is a maere, a dromvisa with an extraordinary power to create nightmares and horrific visions. On the surface she is regular. She has a regular job, does laundry, and tucks the kids in every night. Liv, however, is anything but. After moving for the hundredth time, Liv has come to a town where she learns her own dreams and memories have them taken by another dromvisa. Every dark instinct she has been honing over the years comes out to play.

Revna is a fifteen-year-old dromvisa living a safe life full of love with her mother and baby brother. On the cusp of her shapeshifting, her family has moved to a town teeming with other dromvisas.  Instincts to be mischievous overwhelm her and two fox boys have taken an interest in watching out for her. To make matters worse, things have become complicated in her mother’s life. Revna now is questioning everything she ever knew about herself and her mother.
